Silent Hunter 5 Silent Launch

For my big suprise, today, when I opened Steam, I found out that Silent Hunter 5 just hit the market. I mean, where is the hype, where are the flashes?! Is it that bad?! I really hope not! Or maybe is because Ubisoft doesn’t care about hard-core gamers anymore… Oh wait, nobody cares about hard-core gamers anymore, except for Indie developers… and some like me.

Or maybe I am just bitchin’ around..

Free Key for Fallen Earth

After playing for a little, I am definitely fascinated about this Fallen Earth, an indie post-apocalyptic MMORPG. It is not because it looks good, or beacause it has kewl quests or because is really, really fun. I am playing it because it is different, EVE-ish, difficult, hardcore and it makes me remeber the good old days. Also, looks and play like the way Fallout 3 should have been.

MMORPG.com is offering a set of free keys. There were only 1000 left a few minutes ago, so hurry up!

Avernum 6 available for Windows and Mac

Tasting from the dark “corporate” side of the game industry made me realize how much I appreciate independent developers. Avernum 6 is definitely one of those RPG’s made for “conaisseurs”, for people able to appriciate a huge world with cool stories that wait to be discovered.

So, since I just started playing it again, why not praise the game and thank whoever gave us the power of imagination.

And yes, it is now availalbe for both Windows and Macintosh.

At last, the epic Avernum saga comes to an end. The subterranean world of Avernum is being ravaged by famine and barbarian invaders. Explore the enormous underworld, full of dungeons, powerful artifacts, and cunning foes. Go forth and determine the final destiny of your people! Come get the huge, free demo.

New format

Because of some format problems, I had to abandon the Joomla based site and get back to a more easily manageable content manager. So here I am. For the moment, all user accounts from locke.bornplayer.com, my personal blog, were imported here and they are working. As for the users from the old Videogamedev.net, I will import them as soon as possible and you will receive an e-mail to change your password.

Thank you for understanding and I hope you will be as open as you’ve been before about contributing for this website.

As a general rule, even if the site is in English, you may comment in any language you wish. The language change is motivated by the fact that I wish to reach a bigger audience, not for profit… for other reasons.

So, enjoy the view and have fun!
